Jenifer Silva

Jenifer Silva

I decided to do a law degree due to a strong desire to see that people have explained to them the rights they are afforded. This desire was honed into a passion for workers rights. I am now an experienced employment advocate. I will guide you sensitively through what is often a very stressful time.

I am an experienced Human Resources practitioner with 14 years of New Zealand experience. I have worked in a variety of contract and permanent roles across a broad range of industries.

Despite holding a number of generalist roles, I am able to offer specialist support in recruitment and selection, document and policy development, performance management, change management, employment relations and leadership development.

Whilst I am currently completing a law degree, I am able to support employers on a short-term contract/project basis.

"I want to take this opportunity to give my deepest and heartfelt thank you to Jenifer Silva. Her response to my employment complaint was professional, immediate and effectively resolved. I was under considerable stress due to negative workplace behaviour. Jenifer took control and I could recover.

Nice work Jenifer highly recommended!" Lisa

"Sarah has been a life saver.

In the past I have done my own paperwork for my visas and this time I was applying for my residency. I went through the process as usual and turned everything in before my past visa expired. I was awaiting a response when I got the news that you don’t get an interim visa when going from visa to residency. I was now living in the country unlawfully. I knew I needed help. I called Sarah in a panic and she quickly calmed me and said we would figure it out. She worked with me for a week and we got all the info together. The letter that she helped me with got me a year work visa and peace of mind. My residency in now back in process and her diligence got me back on track. I would recommend her to anyone who needs things done quickly, precisely and with care". Ami.

It's a big decision to put yourself out there, to stand up for what you believe is right, and take the risk to move forward with an employment issue.  Emma understands this and it is not something she takes lightly.  She helped me to strip out the emotion in my dispute and keep it factual and focused, which turned a difficult employment issue into something positive which I can live with.  With Emma's help I was able to get back the confidence I lost when I ran into issues with my ex-employer.  She is professional, smart, strong, no-nonsense and gives good, sound advice and I would not hesitate to recommend her as an advocate for your rights.
